We’re excited to announce the release of Invisinet v4.4, a significant platform update focused on modernizing the underlying infrastructure, strengthening security, improving deployment flexibility, and enhancing operational readiness across customer environments.
While some releases are centered around visible front-end features, v4.4 is about making the Invisinet platform stronger, faster, more secure, and easier to deploy where it matters most. This release represents one of the most meaningful foundational upgrades to the platform in years—positioning Invisinet for the next phase of customer growth across enterprise, government, industrial, and mission-critical environments.
From upgraded cryptographic libraries and expanded compliance reporting to improved network performance, broader cloud compatibility, and private data center support of our Sigma-Cloud DevOps tool, v4.4 reflects Invisinet’s continued investment in a Zero Trust platform built for real-world operational demands.
What’s New in Invisinet v4.4
1. Major Multi-Year Infrastructure Upgrade
At the core of v4.4 is a substantial multi-year infrastructure modernization effort that refreshes key system components across the platform. These upgrades provide a stronger, even more secure, and more maintainable foundation for current and future deployments.
Key infrastructure updates include:
- Ubuntu upgrade from 20.04 to 22.04
- TLS upgrade from 1.1 to 1.3
- SSL upgrade from 1.1 to 3.0
- FIPS support transition from 140-2 to 140-3
These upgrades improve security, strengthen platform resilience, and ensure Invisinet remains aligned with modern infrastructure and compliance expectations.
2. Security Hardening and Expanded NIST Alignment
Security is at the center of everything Invisinet does—not only in the protection the platform provides, but in how the platform itself is engineered and maintained.
As part of the v4.4 release, the Invisinet team completed a broad hardening effort across the platform, including:
- Closed out all High and Critical security CVE’s (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) from end-of-life Open-Source Libraries
- New SafeLogic CryptoComply libraries OpenSSL 3.X
- Enhanced NIST 800-53 compliance reporting
This release also improves alignment with the latest NIST guidance and makes compliance reporting easier. Adding NIST SP 800-90B tested Entropy source support strengthens randomness and cryptographic integrity. Upgrades to the IMF (Invisinet Messaging Framework) and the recent integration with Graylog makes out of the box 800-53 compliance reporting easier. Specifically, for the Identity & Authentication (IA), Access Control (AC), System & Communications Protection (SC) and Audit & Accountability (AU) NIST families.
For customers in defense, public sector, industrial, and critical infrastructure settings, these are important behind-the-scenes enhancements that improve trust and long-term security posture.
While these may not be visible in a UI, they are highly meaningful in the field—especially for customers who depend on reliability, low latency, and stable connectivity across distributed or sensitive environments.
3. Expanded Deployment Support Across Cloud and Infrastructure Environments
One of the major practical advantages of v4.4 is expanded support for additional deployment environments, helping customers run Invisinet more easily across modern infrastructure.
New and improved support includes:
- Amazon T3 server support
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). BETA release
- New drivers validated and operational for both virtual and physical NICs
This broader compatibility helps organizations deploy Invisinet more flexibly across cloud, hybrid, and specialized environments—without compromising security or performance.
4. Deployment Readiness and Operational Maturity
Beyond the software itself, v4.4 also represents a meaningful step forward in deployment readiness and platform maturity.
With this release:
- BETA release of Sigma-Cloud Dev Ops tool to support private data center ESXi environments with automated provisioning.
- Expanded documentation for different environmental use cases (IT vs OT).
- Turning/configuration best practices documentation.
These operational improvements are important because they make the platform easier to implement, easier to support, and easier to scale across customer use cases for a significantly lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
5. Graylog SIEM Integration Added
Invisinet v4.4 also includes integration of Graylog SIEM, further strengthening visibility, operational monitoring capabilities for security teams and easier reporting.
By enabling stronger interoperability with SIEM workflows, this enhancement helps customers improve observability, support incident response, and better operationalize Zero Trust within broader cybersecurity environments.
This is another step forward in making Invisinet highly actionable within the day-to-day workflows of modern security operations.
Why v4.4 Matters
v4.4 is an important release because it strengthens the Invisinet platform in the places that matter most over the long term:
- Security posture
- Compliance alignment
- Infrastructure modernization
- Performance and reliability
- Deployment flexibility
- Operational readiness
In short, this release strengthens the foundation behind the platform, enabling Invisinet to better support customers as their environments evolve and their security requirements become more demanding.
For organizations deploying Zero Trust across IT, OT, cloud, wireless, tactical, or distributed environments, that foundational strength matters.
Built for What’s Next
At Invisinet, we believe that great security platforms are built not only through innovation, but through disciplined engineering, continuous hardening, and real-world deployment readiness.
v4.4 reflects that philosophy. It is a release designed to improve what’s under the hood—so customers can move forward with greater confidence, stronger security, and a more resilient Zero Trust foundation.
